Role Overview:

This is a senior technical leadership role for an experienced Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) specializing in the Banking domain. The position demands a candidate with 5-10 years of comprehensive Pega platform experience and mandatory, current Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification. Deep expertise in designing, developing, and guiding the implementation of sophisticated Pega solutions tailored specifically for banking processes is essential. The LSA will define the technical vision and provide leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Pega best practices and architectural standards within a remote working model based in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Solution Architecture & Design: Architecting and designing complex, scalable, and robust Pega applications specific to banking functions (e.g., loan origination, KYC/AML, customer onboarding, case management, decisioning, regulatory compliance).
  2. Technical Leadership: Providing expert technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Pega development teams (System Architects, Senior System Architects).
  3. Pega Implementation Oversight: Overseeing the development, configuration, and customization of Pega applications, ensuring high-quality delivery and strict adherence to Pega guardrails.
  4. Banking Domain Application: Leveraging in-depth knowledge of banking processes, financial regulations, and industry challenges to architect effective and compliant Pega solutions.
  5. Best Practices & Governance: Establishing and enforcing Pega development standards, best practices, coding guidelines, performance tuning strategies, and security protocols. Conducting rigorous code reviews and design validations.
  6. Integration Strategy: Designing and overseeing the seamless integration of Pega applications with diverse enterprise systems commonly found within the banking technology landscape.
  7. Performance & Troubleshooting: Proactively identifying and resolving complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and ensuring the high availability and stability of Pega applications.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engaging effectively with business analysts, project managers, and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs.
  9. Technical Documentation: Creating and maintaining high-quality technical design documents, architectural blueprints, and key decision logs.
  10. Technology Advancement: Maintaining expert knowledge of the latest Pega platform capabilities and identifying opportunities for applying innovative Pega solutions within the banking domain.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Mandatory Certification: A valid and current Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) certification is an absolute requirement.
  2. Experience: 5-10 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in Pega application development and design, including substantial experience operating at the LSA level.
  3. Pega Platform Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of the Pega Platform (recent versions), encompassing Case Management, Decisioning, UI development (Sections, Harnesses, Portals), Data Pages, Activities, Flows, Agents, Reporting, Security models, and performance optimization techniques.
  4. Mandatory Banking Domain Knowledge: Proven, in-depth understanding and practical application experience within the Banking/Financial Services domain, including core processes, regulatory landscape (KYC, AML, etc.), and typical systems. Ability to effectively communicate using standard banking terminology is required.
  5. Architecture & Design Acumen: Strong foundation in enterprise architecture principles, object-oriented design, design patterns, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and complex system integration strategies.
  6. Database Proficiency: Solid understanding of database concepts and proficiency in SQL.
  7. Leadership Capabilities: Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor developers effectively, and drive critical technical decisions.
  8. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical subjects clearly to diverse audiences.
  9. Analytical Problem-Solving: Superior analytical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills.
  10. Remote Work Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to operate effectively, maintain high productivity, and collaborate successfully in a remote work environment based in India.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Pega's strategic applications or frameworks for Financial Services (e.g., Pega KYC/CLM, Smart Investigate, Customer Service for FS).
  2. Experience deploying and managing Pega applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  3. Familiarity and experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  4. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation for Pega projects.
  5. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
